From a young age, I have always loved working with timber, an enjoyment inherited from my fore-fathers. I began to learn my craft as an Apprentice Joiner in 1974 and with the help of my parents and brothers founded our Joinery in 1979. The words in the poem “Good Timber” by Douglas Mallock became my ethos:
Good timber does not grow with ease;
The stronger wind, the stronger trees;
The further sky, the greater length;
The more the storm, the more the strength;
By sun and cold, by rain and snow;
In trees and men good timbers grow;
We hope you enjoy our new website and find inspiration in the images of over forty years of our achievements.
